As I reflect on completing my first 6 months as a Senior Property Manager at Crawford Real Estate, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of gratitude and renewal.
For the past 12 years, I’ve been immersed in the world of property management—working through the highs and lows, facing challenges head-on, and, honestly, feeling burnt out at times. Like many in the industry, the nature of the work—conflict resolution, constant problem-solving, and navigating the difficult moments—often overshadows the highs. It's an aspect of property management people rarely talk about. But the truth is, at times, I lost my passion, my inspiration, and even my sense of purpose in the work I loved.
I had to dig deep to find joy in other areas—whether it was through personal growth, discovering new passions outside of work, or seeking out a supportive and positive workplace culture that could remind me why I got into this field in the first place.
Fast forward to today, and I can honestly say that joining Crawford Real Estate has reignited my love for property management. It's more than just the challenges or the day-to-day tasks. It's the incredible team culture, the laughter that fills the office, the feeling of support, and the opportunity for growth and reward. The leadership here truly cares about fostering an environment where people feel inspired, valued, and motivated to do their best work.
If you’re feeling burned out or disconnected from your passion—don’t give up. Sometimes, it just takes finding the right workplace, the right culture, and the right team. So, my advice to anyone struggling in their career is this: Don’t be afraid to search for the right office. It will come, and when it does, you’ll rediscover the joy and purpose you thought you lost.
